Woyenne

Woyenne is a modern LBN community that was established in the 1950s by the Department of Indian Affairs in an effort to concentrate the LBN members in an area with greater access for easier management.   Today, this is the largest single LBN community with nearly 1000 residents.  Woyenne is located within the boundaries of the Village of Burns Lake and the service provision of the two is linked through a variety of agreements.  Woyenne is also the location of the main LBN administration office where the Council Chambers are located and where most of the service delivery and programs are centered.
